The place was quiet and pleasant. All members of the staff were cooperative and affable. Overall it was large, with a private bathroom.

Loved the hotel, it is PLEASANT and clean, has particularly good location near the city centre. The room was well-appointed and quiet, but best of all was street view. Location: the property was right by the restaurant and Ukraine.

The Black Sea Hotel whilst difficult to find initially (by our taxi driver) was excellent. Only 31 rooms but the room we had was large and the bed was very comfortable. There was a mini bar which I only used to store wine, but it was stocked with soft drinks. I would definitely stay there again just for the size of the room and the wonderful bed. We had a junior suite. It will always be special to us.
The only disappointments about the room was the tv and the lack of tea and coffee facilities, even though a kettle was provided. The tv was a large wall mounted model but I could not find any English or American channels. Since the Olympics were in full swing this was rather disappointing.

Very good price-quality-relationship. It is not easy to find a hotel with western standard for a reasonable price in Kiev. The Black Sea Hotel is such a hotel.

Everything is fine. Attentive staff, fast and free wi-fi internet connection in rooms. Very comfort beds. In this building also exists a bank and restaurant.

- Comfortable beds - Good quality WIFI
- There was no breakfast buffet. - In case one was lucky then one could choose out of three breakfast menus. However, sometimes only one menu was available. - Only one cup of coffee was inlcuded in the breakfast menu. - Toilet paper was often lacking. - Noisy rooms

Rennovated rooms, clean, supportive staff, walking distance to Lavra.
Very poor restaurant, poor food, we had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast, though we were the only customers in this restaurant. If you stay in this hotel, consider to eat somewhere else.

Would just like to say that we were here for 5 nights ending 27th june 2012 for the euros, this is a excellent hotel with some of the most friendliest reception staff I have come across, excellent value considering that the euros were going on, its about a 30min walk into centre of town, but theres lots to see and eat on that walk so its worth it, beds were comfortable, bed linen changed every day, toilet and showers were spotless at all times. Kiev on a whole, is a excellent city with some great sightseeing tours and very cheap beer., 3 lads from england here for the footy.
If anything it was the taxi drivers not quite knowing the exact location, but it never really was that much of a problem getting back from the centre.
